Innovative and Effective
Treatment of Pain
Myopain Solutions is based in Dedham, MA, and run by owner Stewart A Wild CNMT, CMTPT, NCCPT.
The Neuromuscular Therapy approach used at Myopain Solutions addresses all aspects of muscular dysfunction; trauma, overload, overuse, imbalance, asymmetry, and myofascial trigger points.
Trigger points are tiny, dense, and irritable spots found within muscle tissue that commonly contribute to pain conditions. Manual techniques are designed to remove trigger points, normalize tissue, improve fluid dynamics and reduce or banish pain.
To complement this manual therapy, Stewart incorporates postural and movement rehabilitation, optimization of neurophysiology, pain science education, and the identification, modification, or removal of perpetuating factors.
NOTE—We are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of March 10, 2021, and boostered in December 2021. For my own safety, and other patients, I will only work on fully vaccinated people. Thank you.
What is Neuromuscular Therapy?
Modern Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of problem-solving advanced massage therapy. It comprises comprehensive information gathering, followed by a detailed assessment.
This informs the design and purpose of the advanced manual techniques. We use active movement techniques along with some pain neuroscience education.
This combination helps pain sufferers understand and give meaning to their symptoms, enabling the healing process.
NMT considers the whole patient in context with their environment.
The Myopain Solutions NMT Method
Assessment and reassessment of the body.
Manual techniques that are tailor-made for each individual situation.
An active movement rehabilitation component.
Pain Neuroscience Education
Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) to help you understand how pain works and how it can be controlled.
The overall aim is to provide a swifter recovery from pain and to promote optimal, efficient movement.
By understanding the comprehensive nature of how things go wrong in the body, and the contributions of biomechanical, biochemical, and psychosocial factors, we develop effective strategies to solve even the toughest, longstanding pain conditions.
